Q. Why do some MINIX cars have silver bases and wheels , when others have black (or gray) ?
A. After 1972 when competition was keen and costs has to be kept low black (or gray , or white) bases were introduced along with cheaper wheels , Different colors of plastic were also used for the vehicles, these colors have been defined as :- Bright Red, Bright White, Leaf Green, Dark Green, Bright Green, Royal Blue, Bright Blue, Pale Blue, Gray, Bright Yellow, and Dark Yellow. In addition the Sunbeam Alpine was re-released for one year only in 1980 in four colors - Red, Yellow, Green and Blue , these latter models have blacked out windows and are still quite common , they can usually be picked up for about £1 each.
