1997 Tennyson Derailment.

On the morning of the 17th of December 1997, train 7F31 (a Brisbane suburban shunt), was sent to Tennyson yard (near Yerongpilly) to pick up a string of empty wagons for Acacia Ridge. Locomotive 2131D was attached to a string of wagons in three road on arrival, and after the usual preliminary checks the train pulled down to the signal. When the signal was cleared 7F31 proceeded towards Acacia Ridge but quickly came to a stop. One of the rear wagons had been left over a set of points which were thrown under the wagon. This in turn caused the wagon to derail between two and three roads Tennyson.
