1994 Derailment Wacol Brisbane.

Early on the morning of the 8th of August 1994 train 7F33, (the Redbank Shunt which usually ran from Mayne Shunt yard to Redbank) derailed while leaving Wacol station. Wacol is a small shunt yard situated approximately 8 minutes north of Redbank. This derailment occurred when locomotive 1772D ran through catch points placed just beyond the signal at the southern departure for Wacol. The crew consisted of a driver and a driver's assistant. There were no injuries recorded.
